FL DrupalCamp 2013 T-Shirts and Swag Bags ...

... we need some designs for these items. Because the community was very helpful in the way of brainstorming and voting on community provided designs for a FL Drupal logo, I'd like to open the design and ideas for a design to the community.

T-shirts: We need something similar to each previous FLDC shirt: the Camp logo, which is the Drupal Diver, the title, date and venue. Usually, this fits the design already laid out by the camp's website [ preview: http://herchel.dropmark.com/100988/1448129 ]. The most important part of the shirt is always the back of it - at least for FLDC - it's where all the sponsors are listed. Last year and the year previous we used a similar layout to display the various sponsors for the camp [ http://d.pr/i/Aoyf ] and the year previous (2010?) we just had a simple tag-cloud style representation [http://d.pr/i/Y5hi].

Swag Bags: this is a simple, monochromatic design that should be easily read/visible from a distance. We'll probably have the same biodegradable mesh bags as usual, but probably in blue this year, to match the overall branding.

I also love the idea of integrating the sponsors in the fish. We could potentially take this to the website too.. we're considering some parallex scrolling. Maybe we could have the top sponsors at the top? Just an idea.

I like both ideas for the front of the shirt, but the sponsor fish are GREAT! Maybe you could even put the platinum sponsor fish on a sleeve by himself?

Great ideas and design here, sponsor logos on the fish is brilliant.

As the Platinum sponsor, I would just be cognizant of cost. I've been on the other side of the fence and know the printer will usually charge extra for something on the sleeve and the number of colors used. Thus, just appearing on the back would be fine with us.

Looking forward to April 20th already - good luck with the planning!

This is going to be a hard decision! I'm leaning towards the Octopus, just because I think it's going to allow more focus to the logo [diver] and be less colors for the printer to worry about. I definitely prefer the fish for the sponsor logos on the back.

Two questions:

Can we replicate the style of the site's header into the front design with the Octopus? [leaving the octopus exactly the same as it is now?]

Can we incorporate the sponsor level colors into the fishes? if it's too much color, maybe add a few scattered scales of the sponsor level color?

[guess that was more like four questions :-/ ]

I too love the octopus

The back -Maybe take out the coral on the bottom and just use the bubbles
But I also like the fish... glad I don't have to choose

Both shirt designs are fantastic. Lots of great comments/feedback here as well. Can't wait to see what we decide on .

I would like to see "Florida DrupalCamp" in the same font/style/layout as will be on the website and other printed materials (I'm a consistency nut, I know).

I guess if you need to keep the brand consistent with the site ( think that is here: http://herchel.dropmark.com/100988/1448129) like ULTIMIKE suggested ,then the year would need to be added. Having a stacked version of the name and logo would be usually acceptable for branding, and would allow the shirt to maintain it's balance.... I think think this looks great, can't wait to see it in person at camp.
