We have two presentations lined up - both repeats of Florida DrupalCamp 2013 presentations:

  2. Can RedHen hold all of your contacts in one basket? - Dennis Solis - rescheduled for the next meetup.

Future topics include:

  1. Information architecture of Drupal sites - requested by Maggie/Chris
  2. Launching a site (domain names, production hosting, updates, etc...) - requested by James
  3. Theming with SASS - presented by Mike
  4. More "Back to the Basics" stuff
  5. Drupal "shrinkwraps" and multi-site solutions - requested by Maggie
  6. Import and Map Over 5,000 Points of Interest in 45 Minutes - Mike

I understand that Dennis will be traveling and not able to attend the meetup, which is too bad - I really wanted to learn more about Red Hen. This is (probably) the last meetup I will be able to attend for awhile. If time permits, would it be OK if we spend a few minutes talking about the Florida Greenway project? Thanks to some great volunteers, especially Dennis and Joe Moraca, we have a pretty solid Phase 1 site now and are close to releasing it to the Greenway Alliance board and staff members. There are still a couple of technical and theming issues outstanding.

Open Outreach

I'd also like to hear if anyone has experience with Open Outreach for something beyond a simple site. We have decided not to go with Open Outreach for this release but are going to continue investigation on a dev site. comments welcome.

PS anyone interested in seeing the current site please take a look at

Do you have a map?

For those who are just curious where the trails are in thier area, do you have a map of the trails you could put somewhere on the site?

Need geo help

Hah! Are you volunteering to help us with the geo aspects? You'd be welcome - that's the very next step. But meanwhile, you can see are a very rough idea of the current ECG route here (a link to a map in greenway.org).

(we hope to do better soon. Meanwhile you might be right that it would be a good idea to link back to the current site to show this - better than nothing anyhow) Also bear in mind this is only showing a section of the ECG route from Maine to Key West... not side trails. Trails are green, on road route is blue. (I turned google bicycling on to show some surrounding trails). Trail funding was just approved for the Coast to Coast Connector trail from Titusville to St Pete and that is not shown yet.

Session on Project Management

Someone told me that the group was interested in learning a little about basic project management. Many developers end up managing projects - whether they intend to or not.

While this isn't strictly a Drupal subject, if there is desire to learn about the terminology, best practices, and even some Drupal project tips, I can do a presentation on it. I've been managing web projects for over a decade.

Call it an "Introduction to Project Management for Drupal developers. I could give this presentation at the meeting at the end of May. Or any time in June. Let me know if there is any interest.

I would love to come to Robert's presentation on project management for Drupal developers...and I can actually come to the late May meetup.
