Have a strong desire to help great progressive organizations make the world a better place? Looking to work with a fantastic team of Drupal developers and build out some really cutting edge sites? Can you write code better than a thousand monkeys with a million years on their hands?

Trellon is a development shop based in Washington, DC and we are looking for a few good programmers to work with our talented team of Drupal developers on some big projects. We’re offering a 1 – 2 month contract to build out a couple of client sites.

If things work out and we like what we see, this will lead to a full time job offer at the end of the contract. Otherwise, you get to spend your time working on cool custom modules, some really innovative themes and help out a few worthwhile causes all while getting paid a decent salary. And you don’t even have to leave your bedroom to do it!

You need to have:

  • A strong working knowledge of Drupal.
  • A decent understanding of mysql.
  • The ability to work in a Linux environment.
  • A way to be productive working from home (i.e. high speed internet access, skype, IRC, SSH chops).
  • A positive attitude and genuine desire to get things done.

Other things we would like to see:

  • CSS skills.
  • The ability to develop for CiviCRM.
  • A demonstrated conceptual understanding of social networking and online communities.
  • People who know how to have fun.

If you think you fit the bill, send an email to jobs@trellon.com that includes a resume or list of links to past projects along with your name and the best time to talk. We will get in touch with you right away. If you have submitted a resume before and not heard from us, feel free to submit it again.

Greets,

WBF 8) = walksbyfaith = I'm too lazy to type it.

Hello fellow Grand Rapidians, Michiganders and the rest of you who are not so fortunate as to live in the beautiful Great Lakes state. My userId, 'splained above.
I am a member of the Heartside.Tribe on Tribes.net. Indie-artisan, weaver & student-refugee from the dot-com bust. I am working on my B.S., finally after devoting the first half of my life to little, now grown, peoples.

I sweated out my UNIX SysAd cert from Marygrove way back when there was not a degree called B.C.S. Now that there is, I'm runnin like hrmm, from computer employment. [shrug] Between then and now I have spent most of my time teaching Computer Lit. My last stint was as the Heartside Ministry Computer Lab geek/intern/director, what-have-you.

My objective for joining this ug is to maintain current skills sufficient to maintain and support the indie-artists primarily in the Heartside neighborhood without having to do it all for some of them. So far, mixed success.

A bientot

Just a clarification: this meeting is for the Grand Rapids, MI user group. I notice the original message was cross-posted to a few dozen groups. I'll put the address in the meeting announcement on the group page.
