Just ran into this one, and I know others will too so I'm passing it along. When using IIS7 with the MS URL Rewrite module, I ran into a 500.50 server error when trying to view uploaded images. The issue has to do with the web server's use of c:\windows\temp to temporarily upload files and the permissions associated with that folder.
