Levi mentions in IRC that notebooks were one swag idea. Here's one affordable option from 4imprint

This one is more, but includes a pen

Second one looks better

Second one looks better. Can pen have a logo?

I have a Sample of the Second One

Trellon gave these out at DrupalCon. It's a nice notebook, the pen writes well, but it doesn't have a logo.

I'll bring it with me on Thursday.

promotional post-cards have arrived, so I'll bring some for people to take and give away.

I have one just like this one

I have one just like this one - http://www.4imprint.com/tag/119/Notebooks-and-Journals/product/109118/De...

It is very nice. I'll bring it to the meetup.

I also have a sample from 4imprint of this exact one - http://www.4imprint.com/tag/119/Notebooks-and-Journals/product/117138/Cu...

It is kind of flimsy. I'll also bring it with me.

So, the consensus for swag was a combination of:

  • notebook (board covers)
  • custom M&M's
  • stickers

We may also produce a small number of t-shirts (~20) to give to volunteers.

We will go ahead and put a call out for trainers. We should be able to hold trainings at 701 Carnegie again. At a maximum we can have space for 5 trainings classes: 25, 20, 12, 12, & 10 people.

Sean will start reaching out to prospective sponsors. Initial target sponsor levels: $1800, $600, $300. Consider room naming as an option for top level, and maybe not offering table space to silver.

In terms of program, some support at the meeting for having a keynote speaker at some point during the day. We explore possible speakers.

Based on initial cost estimates for using an Eating CLub, they would be too expensive for the after party so we should probably consider Ivy Inn again.

My employer may want to sponsor

I mentioned something to my employer in August about sponsoring, and they seemed receptive. I'd be happy to pass on any details, etc, to see if I can get management on board.
