Hey folks -- time for another meetup?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I notice that it's been a number of months since the last one.

Meetup in late April? Early May, maybe? Spring is springing and is it time for local Drupalers to come out of the ground?

Is there a process how these get organized? (E.g. who picks a place, picks a date, etc.?)

Drupal Meetup

I'm game. Name a time and spot. Cambridge Brewing Company is nice...and they have beer (d'oh). Additionally (shameless plug) BostonPHP is hosting PHP Frameworks Part III featuring:

* Andromeda - Kenneth Downs (founder)
* Drupal - Moshe Weitzman (core-developer)

Date: Wed, May 2nd 07
Time: 6:30 pm

All BostonPHP events are free as in "beer" and open [to all] as in "source".

Note: date conflict; resolving to Monday, 7 May

Note that there's another drop-in scheduled (with more critical mass) for Monday, 7 May. See http://groups.drupal.org/node/3904.

Since it's only the two of us (I think) on this thread, I'm making this note represent an HTTP redirect to the other drop-in, canceling this one (on the 9th) in favor of the Monday meeting.

By all means. Looking

By all means. Looking forward to attending my first meetup. Berkman Center is once again happy to host, especially now that we're moving in Drupal directions... Cambridge Common down the street is always a nice place to adjourn once substantive discussion has finished.

Let's pick a day

Sounds like an excellent location - both during and after substantive discussion. When is the Berkman Center available, and if it's "anytime" how about the evening of April 24th?

Conference Room Availability

Calendar says...any Wednesday except the 25th, ending before 9pm; any Tuesday (including the 24th), but only between 6:00 - 7:30pm (The PTC course begins promptly at 7:35); any Friday.

Hmmm...

April 24th, 6:00 - 7:30 seems a bit brief, however, we could always move it to the "bah" at 7:31. The earliest Wednesday I could do would be May 9th, but please don't hold dinner because of my schedule. If others would like to meet, I'll catch y'all at the next one.

Not until after 4/25

Though I'm the newcomer, I did start the thread... ;-)

I'm out of town until the 26th of April. So the location ideas all sounded fine to me, the date doesn't work.

And there's no particular hurry. So if it's crucial to do a Wednesday, I see no driving need to do it before Mark could be here.

So, May 9th???

I vote Yes

May 9th works for me. In fact, by that time I may have just about wrapped my brain around the Drupal fundamentals ;-) Thanks for initiating this Jay

So should I assume the Meetup is a no go?
