I have been posting the the support section of OpenPublish but now that I see people are active here, will join this discussion.
There are some little things that I think that open publish should do.

Within a taxonomy category, there should be links on the page to the next article or previous article within the taxonomy of the current article.

The process of implementing H3 tag links on the front page should be clearly explained. It looks like a ton of work finding block ids and views ids and creating view.tpl files.

Most online media publications have certain functionality such as image galleries, a classified section and blogging. OpenPublish should have recipes for implementing sophisticated types of these functionalities. Have you ever seen the interactive galleries on The Huffington Post? They are fantastic and I could only dream of creating something like that to integrate into OpenPublish.

Online publications also have business directories which is a whole other topic. Still there should some kind of business directory and/or real estate directory in OpenPublish.
