OpenMagazine anyone: or collaboration/multisite for journals
Hi all,
Anyone up for a collaboration to build a multisite for small- to mid-sized journals?
Let me explain.
OP2 did a marvelous job for me way back. I showed the possibilities and what one can achieve with Drupal. In my case this resulted in a website that has a complete archive of a literature journal, with author-controlled biographies, blogs, events... and hopefully soon an e-shop (cf. Ubercard), mobile webapp (cf. Services), metadata-standards based exports (MarcXML, MODS), archival/preservation (cf. exports to Internet archive)...

Hello Everybody,
I am currently working on my first OP Site.
Have a question / input regarding the whole Navigation System/Structure of OP...
I identified three issues, meybe there are easy solutions available, i couldn't find them in the group nor in the issue queue or OP Documentation:
1) Keeping the Topic-Menu active when displaying a Node/Article
The Topic-Vocabulary builds the Topic-Navigation.
How to place different ads on articles from different sections
Does anyone know how to place different ads on specific sections of articles?
For instance, I plan to sell sports article ads to certain businesses and obituary ads to other business.
I am using SimpleAds.
I have tried cloning Article Detail Page in Context, calling it Sports Article Detail, and then adding the Sports Taxonomy but that did not work.

Hi, I've just returned to OP today and gotten the chance to figure a few things out. (like, changing the view from structure/content)
I'd like to make a distinction between blogs and articles when I publish to the front page. Everything seems to publish to the catchall content space.
Any advice?
Any OPublishers in New York?
Hello, fellow OPublishers!
Just wanted to know if there are any OPs in New York that want to meet up and connect / share / learn and grow together. Maybe even co-work weekly?
Read moreHow is the node title field configured for the "Profile" content type in OP7?
I'm interesting in how the Title field in the Profile content type of Open Publish 7 can collect information from the Last Name, First Name and/or Organization and input it as the Title. Can I configure this myself? Or do I need to know how to code to implement this myself?

Can anyone explain better than the docs at Openpublish how to publish content into the 2nd column. I can't seem to wrap my mind around it using the context inspector.

Imported 4000 articles... how do I create authors?
Hi there,
I am trying to move Free Software Magazine to OpenPublish.
I am getting there (although, unfortunately I went a little crazy with customising things, and I am paying for that now... err...).
I imported all of the nodes. Now, I am dealing with "authors". I understand that in OpenPublish each "Author" is a different node. However, I am now in a situation where I have 4000 or so articles, each one authored by the node's uid. I also have a list of "privileged" uids with the right role ("authors"), who can create articles.
Read moreError on changing workflow state
Hi all, I've published a new OP site and it's all working great. The only strange thing is an error when publishing content (or change the workflow state of any article from published to something else). Here's the error:
Unable to find "action" of name "mimemail_rules_action_mail_to_user" with the label "Send an HTML mail to Author". Perhaps the according module has been deactivated.
I've searched everything on the site, the rules section, the workflow section, everywhere... but I cannot find this rule. Where is it (or where it should be?). Thanks to everyone.
Bye.
