Presentation
Jeff Shelton, Naryan Newton, and Nathaniel Catchpole literally wrote the book on Drupal performance. This presentation will take a shallow dive into the broad pool of Drupal performance, using the book as our guide. Topics to be covered include: tools for collecting performance-related metrics to establish a baseline, and areas to look to improve Drupal's backend performance, such as Memcache, Varnish, CDNs, Op-Code caches, Web Server software, and more.
RSVP Now! Drupal Nights are FREE events! Let us know you are coming so we know how much pizza to order.
This event will also be live broadcast via YouTube starting around 7PM EDT.
About the Speaker
Chris Wells grew up in Western Mass, did his undergrad in Computer Science at Providence College, worked a couple jobs, then went off for a Masters in Technology Education at Appalachian State University. Chris's first Drupal site was for a department at Harvard and used Drupal 4.7; he never looked back. Redfin Solutions started out as four guys moonlighting but they soon realized the demand for their venture and ramped it up to full time. Chris and Redfin now call Portland, Maine home and intend to stick around a while.

Great panel!
Wishing Chris Wells well, too bad he couldn't make it, but we got a great panel! Michelle Lauer, Patrick Corbett, Erik Peterson, Seth Cohn, Micky Metts.
In addition to Pantheon and Acquia's performance review tools, Micky has suggested this no-setup-needed, also free one:

What an excellent event!
Diliny and Miche did an excellent job organizing, including all the last minute details and changes. They were able to put together an information packed event covering Drupal performance issues and solutions for beginners and experts.
Chris, mend quickly and we look forward to seeing your next presentation.
I have tried http://www.drupalsitereview.com/ on a few of my D7 sites and was impressed at the level of detail it gave me. I would love to hear what others think of it.
