My Top 6, Ranked :-)
Thanks! Access is what I'm
Thanks! Access is what I'm expecting!
My top needs from this list
My top needs from this list
Migrate - Handlers for vbulletin - If I can't migrate my 400,000 posts and 42,0000 users it's of no use.
Access control - hidden and moderator only forums
Messaging - Private messaging
Notifications - On mention or reply to a post get a notification!
Mailhandler - allow posting by email
Nice but not important
Integration with OG
Poll
Could care less about:
FB etc signin
Search - that's what Solr and Google site search are for.
Anti-spam - there's other solutions already done and dusted.
Comments - already done in Drupal, no further need.
Thanks for all your efforts, I'm looking forward to the beta release!

Mail handler
Including functionality to bring in users who prefer email communication over web forums would be terrific! I currently use m2f (mail-to-forum), a plugin for phpBB2 that does that wonderfully. Users can subscribe to desired forums and interact that way. It even handles attachments.
Import functions are second on my list from the choices above.
Thanks for your work!
Nothing has happened on
Nothing has happened on Mailhandler yet though would love to as they'd be fantastic features. Without work that requires it or sponsorship for me to write it this'll stay low on the list :C
Thanks for opening my eyes to
Thanks for opening my eyes to the possibilities that mailhandler could provide.
Three wishes for genie ;)
Thank you very much for your excellent contribution to the community.
Done!
Not on list (Good theme)
I know that this is not on the list and is not a module, but it would be really nice for a non-themer like myself to have a nice theme to use to show off Harmony's capabilities. From what little that I have played around with Harmony I can tell that the capabilities are there, but to have an interface that looks more like XenForo or vBulletin or any of the other popular forums that is organized by default with categories and so forth would be a big step for many to get on board with the power that is Harmony. (BTW, I really like the name).
Thanks for your good work. It is much needed and appreciated.
Hi, thanks for the words!
Hi, thanks for the words! Whilst not on the above list a theme is planned (Arcadia) and you can see what it looks like here, fully responsive Bootstrap 3.

This is only HTML but gives an idea as to what the end result distribution will look like and what features I want for it. I'd also want an admin theme though need to think on that a bit.
Converted!
I feel totally converted to Harmony Forum religion by just looking at the screenshots.
For me the order of importance is:
1. Integration to OG - it has just so much power to build truly amazing forums with powerful access functions it is hard to ignore. Even if the forum thread itself has little access related functions OG group can play as a container role where all the access & deny permissions are set
2. Notifications... It could be great if it is integrated to Message ecosystem, which plays well with OG
3. It was not mentioned in the poll, but the Rules kind of binds together many different modules.
Many other things could be done by already existing modules which support entities, so there is not much need to duplicate functionality.
I am totally AGAINST building some fixed migration modules, because the amount of work will be colossal because of the variety of the forum software. What fits for everything - fits for nothing. If the current community which need to be imported is more or less valuable - then probably some freelanced custom code should make the job done.

Notifications (and possibly
Forum Features
Hi,
I've been running a Forum for over 10 years with over 2000 users, and from my experience the most important features would be:
The ability to upload an image right there in the post. Click browse and select. If there is a separate folder where they can upload their images, then there needs to be a simple way to browse to that folder and select the image to insert.
The ability to merge threads. Many times two or even three separate users will start a thread on the same subject and they will get a reply or two. It can get very confusing for the rest of the members. Which one do they respond to? Which one did they reply to? etc.
Notifications. You want to be able to subscribe to a particular thread and get an email or Private Message, depending on which option you chose, whenever a new post is made to that thread. Many times people will forget or lose the thread they asked a question in. A notification is very handy.
Simple text editor. Many people are not familiar with BBCode, so a simple text editor makes it easy for everyone to contribute.
That would be my requests, in that order. Of course, that's in addition to the regular forum features.
Thanks,
Ray
