Summary of Position
The University of New Hampshire's campus in Manchester is currently seeking a Web Developer & Strategist to join the Marketing & Communications Office. Working as part of the marketing team, this position will collaborate with UNH constituents on website design, development, and maintenance, as well as playing a critical role in supporting marketing initiatives, including SEO and digital advertising.
Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and four years of website development and marketing strategy; Associate's degree and six years, or combination of education and experience equal to eight years.
Proficient in web design, development, and maintenance, including responsive design for mobile and tablet. Proficient in content management, database applications and development.
Expert level knowledge of front-end development languages. Must be able to hand code HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
Experience building and maintaining dynamic sites using one or more of the following technologies: PHP, MySQL, XML.
Maintain, analyze, and communicate Google Analytic data.
Use analytics and other user data to improve the usability and accessibility of the website. Knowledge of browser compatibility, effective navigation, and search engine optimization.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL, Apache, Unix, SQL, JavaScript, DRUPAL, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Desirable qualifications include experience working as part of a creative team and implementing digital marketing strategies.
Effective oral and written communications, problem solving, and constituent/customer service skills.
Creativity, persistence, patience, diplomacy, and a dedicated team player. Interest in continued learning and skill development.
Experience with conversion of existing graphics, audio and video files and/or creating them for online use.
