User group meeting
With DrupalCon Amsterdam coming up, let's meet up with the Kenyan Drupal Community and give eachother an update of what is going on with Drupal in East-Africa.
Drupal is steadily growing in Uganda (the biggest Ugandan website in 2013 was powered by Drupal) and there is work being done on SMS, mapping, graphing etc.
I'd also be very interested to learn what is happening in Kenya.
Location: iHub (tentative, they have not confirmed yet.)

This is a great meet up. I am
This is a great meet up. I am in.
You need to inform iHub so that they are aware.
This is a great idea. I'm

I'm also very interested to meet other Drupalers from the region and see what is being done.
What is that biggest website in Uganda that is running Drupal?
Wonderful Idea
It would be a very good platform to bring all the drupal-heads in the E.A Region together.
Count me in.

If there is a Drupal meet up i ma definitely in.. got the message late, so did the vent take place or its still in the works?
Meetup
bigtings and myself had an excellent meetup. The iHub surely does serve great cappuchino.
If you guys want to meet up, there is nothing more to do than choose a time & place and just create an event here. You can meet at any place that serves a soda or a beer.
Just talking Drupal is all it takes, for example, this is @Dries, the founder of Drupal, having a great Drupal time in China: https://twitter.com/Dries/status/509650774326906880 That's all there is to it.
Cu all next time.
Date Proposal
well lets start proposing some dates.. the places are fairly easy to chose if we are talking about NAIROBI .. we pick a public social place , a university meeting room (usually comes for free for these kind of stuff) .. all am saying is we cant luck a place.. lets set the dates first !
September is not so sweet, this time of the month is rush hr. i am for the second week of October. any other suggestions
Just do it
гений just create the event. Set a date and a place (and if you use the iHub, send them an email).
If people want to suggest differently, they will do that in the comments and you can make changes to the event.
It's easy, really.
Pre-Drupalcon Venue Suggestion
Sorry i am getting to know of this conversation late.
If no venue is suggested yet, I can give my office space in Kileleshwa (Not far from Bishop Magua- ihub) on any pre-agreed Saturday. The snacks and refreshments (Kenyan tea/coffee) can be arranged though we need to pay.
Let me know if this is OK, meanwhile I will find time and see if we can get a date at ihub.

njugunakaranja if you want
njugunakaranja if you want to organise an event, in the right upper corner of this page is a link that reads 'Add Event'. Click it, add all the details that you can (just pick a date that is convenient for you) and post it.
That is it. That is how the Drupal community works. Drupal is you.
