Featured Presentation
Mike Dawson, Genuine’s Director of PHP Development, will talk about the agency's 6 year relationship with Drupal. They've launched more than 20 Drupal Sites to date and their presentation will highlight clients that used Drupal by industries (Consumer Packaged Goods, B2B Tech, Healthcare, etc). At the end of the meet-up, Genuine will give an office tour. They are also hiring! Email cover letters/resumes to careers@genuineinteractive.com
Held in Boston (note special January host location!)
We will be hosted in January 2015 by Genuine, a full-service integrated agency located at 500 Harrison Ave. 5R, Boston, MA 02118.
Lightning Talk Format
In addition to our featured presentation, we'll do lightning talks for both hours of the meeting. Each volunteer will get up to 5-10 minutes to ask questions of the group, present your recent Drupal work, or other lead Drupal discussion. This is an open floor, and no preparation is required.
Global Sprint Prep
Once again, Boston will be hosting a Global Sprint Day on Saturday, January 17th - look for formal announcement coming soon. If you have never setup a local dev environment for Drupal 7 or Drupal 8, in addition to the lightning talks, we will be simultaneously holding a separate Global Sprint prep setup session also at Genuine's office.
Parking and Transportation
Genuine's offices are train accessible via the Broadway T stop on the Red Line, Silver Line, or Orange Line. On-street parking (free/metered) may be available nearby, including Randolph Street and Paul Sullivan Way. A parking lot is also available for $15 per car.
Dinner and Drinks
During the meetup, pizza, salad, and drinks will be generously sponsored by Genuine. Please RSVP via this posting's Sign up button below so we have a proper headcount.
Sponsors/Feature Guests Wanted
If you would like to sponsor future dinners or meet-up locations, please reach out to organizers. You will be recognized at the meeting, given the chance to do a featured talk for 15 min., and promoted to our Boston list of over 1500 subscribers.
Pencil in 1st Tuesdays!
The first Tuesdays are designated Boston Drupal Meetup nights unless noted. Look for future announcements and reminders!

Set up Xdebug on a VM
If anyone wants to try setting up D8 and Xdebug on a virtual machine (VM) as I demonstrated at the meetup, my git repo is at http://benjifisher.github.io/drupal-dev-vm/ and the original is Jeff Geerling's at https://github.com/geerlingguy/drupal-dev-vm.
My fork installs the Vdebug plugin for vim (https://github.com/joonty/vdebug). (This is actively maintained, and more functional than the older Xdebug plugin.)
Moshe mentioned VLAD (Vagrant LAMP Ansible Drupal, https://github.com/hashbangcode/vlad). This is a project with similar goals.
