Happy New Year!
The January 2015 SCDUG will be on Tuesday January 6th at 7pm at Nextspace.
Alex Bronstein (effulgentsia on drupal.org) might be able to discuss Drupal 8 plugins with us.
Any other topics we want to discuss?

D8 Plugins would be very cool, they're used all over D8.
I've been having some fun playing with breakpoint and singularity. It's pretty easy to make a website do cool responsive stuff. Even a backender like me can do it.

Cool
That would be a fun rundown... "responsive done by the backender". :)

I've been using the D8 Migrate API to start work on a D7->D8 migration. I can demo that. The D8 Migrate API uses plugins as helper classes. The actual migrations are in YAML.
By the way, Drupal 8.0 will not ship with a D7->D8 migration (and I think I know why) so if you are planning one in the near future you will have to write it yourself as I am doing.
Great!
Sounds good. D8 plugins and migration. If we have time I could show the D8 multilingual install profile.

Awesome!
Happy New Year, everyone! I'm looking forward to Tuesday. I'm happy to talk about Drupal 8 plugins, and to learn about Singularity, Migration, and multilingual install.

I want to come tonight but I've had some gunk in my lungs since Friday (after having a stuffy nose/head for several days) and have been staying home. It would be nice to get out of the house though! If I miss it, have fun. If I come, I'll use hand sanitizer and keep my distance. :)

Going to miss this one! See you next time :)
Drupal Hike/Walk?
Hi all... was chatting with Alex. He's here until early April (though maybe longer) so I thought it would be fun to do a nature outing (hike/walk) with the Drupal group before April as something a bit different. Lots of options. Anyone up for this?

Other ideas?
Weekends would be best for me and I'd bring along my family. Right now the only plans we have are for the first weekend in February (6th to 8th).
If there is interest, I'll open another post for this.
I'm thinking I will stay home tonight to avoid germ transfer... happy to be a fly on the wall via Skype though.
Cheers!

Hike/Walk
I'd like to join the hike/walk. Most weekends are open for us too.
I can't make it tonight, but keep me posted on what works out.
