Hello Drupalers,

I’m currently volunteering my Drupal developer services to a nonprofit Bird Rescue group in SF Bay Area. The organization is grass roots which is all volunteer based and no paid staff. We’re looking for 1-2 Drupal developers to help us with improving our website and respond to issues on an as needed basis. Unfortunately, I have very limited time to assist and would love to get some extra support.

We could really use assistance with CSS and theming which is not my strong point as well as addressing some mobile site issues like responsive tables and menus. Or if someone can help mentor and teach me how to make some of the changes we need that would be OK too.

Please email me offline if you’re available and interested – thanks so much!
Shelley

Can you share the URL for the site so we can get an idea of what the updates might involve? Thanks.

Sure, check out: http://mickaboo.org/

Some areas we need help with is moving away from tables to views - for example - currently this page is using table:
http://mickaboo.org/how-you-can-help/become-mickaboo-angel
which I want to replace with views instead but there are some font & column centering layout issues:
http://mickaboo.org/angel-birds
Additionally, it doesn't resize properly when using mobile devices and should be responsive.

This page should be using views but due to time constraints, the volunteers went ahead and built long running HTML page instead:
http://mickaboo.org/lost-found-birds

The above pages are most critical and real pain points. The website prematurely "went live" (old site crashed) before it was ready to be deployed, long story. We'd also like to improve the current calendar and build a real structure most likely using taxonomy to build events vs. classes along with taxonomies for locations / regional areas like East Bay, SF Bay, South Bay etc. etc.

It's a great organization and they have done great job utilizing all open source options. Additionally, the subject matter experts in their areas are always actively involved and follow up on timely manner which is extremely valuable to me. So things do get done! I hope this helps!

Thanks again,
Shelley
