User group meeting

We are having our meetup, as usual, on the second Thursday of this month, and we are sprinting into May with an awesome lineup.

Our first speaker this month will be Stephen Recker, Drupal Developer at ICF International. In his talk, "Keep Your Eyes on the Dashboard," he will share tips and tricks learned in the trenches. Creating an efficient interface can be difficult in Drupal, and Stephen shows how Panels can help keep things simple.

The featured speaker at our May meetup will be David Dan of Voryx Technologies, our newest Meetup sponsor. David will speak on the exciting topic of "Real-time Drupal." Learn how to add real-time functionality to your existing Drupal site. In a past talk, David gave a high-level overview of this technology. This month, though, he will offer a ground-level, step-by-step, practical walk-through that will get you up and running on your own site.

Also, this month we will raffle off another free and complete license to PHPStorm! As we are not a huge meetup, your chances of winning are really great. This is exciting stuff, as PHPStorm integrates strongly with Drupal.

Throughout the evening, of course, there will be the usual no-host bar and lots of eating off of B&B's newly invigorated menu. Hope to see you there! We meet at Bulls & Bears, 38 S. Potomac St. Hagerstown, MD 21740 301-791-0370, in the Broadway room in the back. See you there.
