Hello all!
Where did the summer go? I swear it zipped by before I could blink!
Two items:
- In an effort to standardize meetings - I'm going to aim for the last Monday in each month, sound reasonable? (please keep in mind that this does depend on finding space to hold the meeting)
- The summer gathering was going to be social. In that spirit, I'd like to suggest we meet out for September. Last year we met at The Sports Grill in East Greenbush (right off of I-90). Shall we meet there again on September 28th? I'll put out an event invite unless I hear differently in the next day or so.
Keep ideas and thoughts percolating for future meetings - send suggestions my way.
More to come...
Cheers,
Meredith

I've been fiddling with Headless stuff lately
My experience has been with spitting out data and consuming it with JavaScript. Nothing with CUD actions yet, only R, but I could look into that as well.
Theming best practices.
Drupal and CI systems (@patrickavella asked me to talk about that)
When to D8?
Monday's don't work for me
Unfortunately, Monday's don't work for me. My daughter has a class on Monday nights.
Mondays aren't the best for
Mondays aren't the best for me either, but they work. Fridays for me optimal.
The web services module for d7 is very flexible and makes headless drupal easyish without having to write module code, but if you know PHP I've found just writing your own module to be a lot easier to wrap your head around.
I'd be glad to share what I know about headless drupal/web services. Right now I'm digging into the Paragraphs module which is also very cool for UX if you haven't seen it.
The next non social drupal meet up will be post NED camp so I'm sure I'll have lots of info on all sorts of new things.
And yes, still highly interested in CI/Jenkins :3
Hi!
Would love to meet up - this would be my first one in Albany. Another day in the week maybe? I'm interested improving my DevOps for Front-End/Automation/etc. D8/Headless/Current Trends are always fun too.
Great ideas for gathering
Thanks all for the great ideas!
I think that Monday the 28th is going to be a go - I'll post an even shortly.
As for future meetings, would Tuesday work better for more people? I really want to keep it early in the week.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone
Tuesday's work great.
