Important Notes
You must use the sign-up button below because Upside Collective is in a secure building. We need to have people's names at security so that you can be let into the building to attend the meeting. (Plus it also helps me plan the yummy pizza.)
I will try to alternate between the last Monday and the last Tuesday of the month for our future meetings.
Please note this meeting notice may evolve as more information comes along.
Thanks everyone - looking forward to seeing people!

Wish I could make it
Really wish I could make it. I am really interested in paragraphs and style guides. We need to figure out a way to record these meetings for those of us who can't make them...
Recording, taking minutes, or
Recording, taking minutes, or doing summaries would be excellent.
I think in the very list I think we should all opt to post any materials we use to the group after hand (power points, etc).
Paragraphs is super cool :)
Looking forward to the Paragraph Module
Hey Patrick,
Eagerly waiting for your presentation on the Paragraph Module. We are thinking about incorporating this module into our project going forward.
See you all tomorrow.
Names for Security
Please add the name Nicholas Lue on the security list.
I've been using the paragraphs module for a little bit and it's great. I can't wait to learn more about it.
Thanks
Meetup still happening Tuesday, October 27th, 5:30-8pm right?
The Meetup is still Tuesday, October 27th, 5:30-8pm - not tomorrow, right?
You are correct. Next
You are correct. Next Tuesday.
YouTube?
Based on what I've seen at camps, it should be possible to use YouTube to record a screen share using the laptop's microphone.
Yeti Blue
In the future, if there is recording to be done, I do have a decent mic I can use (Yeti Blue) for as future meeting. I am likely a few meetings away, but it is something I can bring for the future.
Recording help
This is stuff I do for the dayjob, super simple. Happy help by recording and producing our presentations for online distro if needed.
great!
That's sound great.
About meeting

Congratulations!
Congrats on the position John - feel free to join us in the future.
Agenda update
Good evening,
I've updated the agenda to allow for more time during the News and Announcements phase - we have more tidbits to go over. My presentation on Living Style Guides might even be shorter than the given 20 minutes, it's more an overview of my research and notes (a document will be shared in the comments after the meeting).
Agenda:
5:30 - 6 pm: chat, munch on pizza
6 - 6:30 pm: news and announcements (incl. D8 neatness, Gregg at BadCamp & Acquia certifications)
6:30 - 6:50 pm: Paragraphs module (the who, what, why and when) by Patrick
6:50 - 7:10 pm: Living style guides in Drupal, my initial foray by Meredith
7 - 8 pm: More presentations (5-20 minutes, propose below in comments) and/or share your Drupal challenges with the group.
If you're going to be joining us and haven't already signed up - contact Patrick (co-organizer of tomorrow's meet up) so you can be on the security list.
Parking - By around 5pm the downtown streets and meters start clearing out. I believe the meters are in service until 6pm. There are also a couple of garages nearby, including the one at the Times Union center on S. Pearl (less than 1/2 a block away).
See you all tomorrow!
Cheers,
Meredth
found out I can go last minute
Left a twitter message with Pat.... :-) Sorry for the late sign up on my part.

Thanks a lot Mike.

That's really awesome, thank you Mike!
If we do this again I'll include screenshots in the slides
happy to help
This is something I've been meaning to figure out for a long time - a video capture box that record at 30/60 fps and pass the signal through to a projector. It would automagically capture on-screen demos, and eliminate the CPU/GPU overhead of software-based vid capture.
Like This?
You mean something like this?

I have seen this set up used at a couple of camps (Colorado and BADCamp)
Google Docs/Drive long links don't work in Groups e-mails
Meredith and Patrick thanks again for presenting and sharing the presentations and notes via Google Drive. And Mike thanks for the video!
FYI the long Google Drive document links don't come through in e-mails from the Drupal Group, at least not for me. Might be useful to add a shortlink (via bit.ly or goo.gl) for Google Drive links on here.
