We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

Do you have an idea for a lightning talk theme for the next Boston Meetup? We want to hear it! This month we are looking for themes that fall into one of three buckets:

  • Design
  • Show & Tell
  • Devops

A theme provides an over-arching idea that guides and focuses the presented lightning talks. An example of themes we have had in the past are:

  • "One thing I have learned and love (or hate) about Drupal 8"

Submitting a Theme

If you have an idea for a theme, post it below in a comment along with which bucket it belongs in. If you have a theme idea that does not fit into one of these three bucket, post it anyway!
Submit your theme idea no later then November 12, 2015.

Picking a Theme

You are in charge of picking the theme(s) for the next meetup! If you see a theme idea posted below that you like, up vote it! The most popular theme(s) will be posted with the details of the next meetup.

Great idea. Would it be correct of me to say that two possible themes you are suggesting are:

Devops: Tips & Tricks for module development in Drupal 8.

Show & Tell: A module I've built in Drupal 8.

Pick a module that you use a lot (or even one you've built) and talk about why it's cool and how it's used.

David,

Great suggestion for a theme. What do you think about expanding it to something such as

"Drupal 8 vs. other modern CMS's: Pros and Cons"

to fit into the "Devops" bucket? That may allow people to present on comparing to many different CMSs (including wordpress)
