good idea kev - i just tried but i think carlito is taking a siesta but i'll do it this evening. i think there's 12 currently so i'll ask for 14 and see if there's a bit more wiggle room if required.

Grim tidings everyone - Carlito's is fully booked for Tuesday. He says the only evening he can is Wednesday but as it's a Christmas menu we'd have to commit to £20/head spend. He can do a maximum of 12 and it might be possible to add in another space with a squeeze but beyond that we'll be sitting on each other's laps.
So we could either see if a change to Wednesday works for the group or else go to Plan B. Er?

There are going to be winners and losers this Christmas ;-) For some a possible switch to Wednesday works out for the best but for others it means they'll no longer be able to attend which is a real shame.
As Carlito's is fully booked every other day, it feels a bit risky to wait too long before booking it for Wednesday, or else sticking with Tuesday and trying for somewhere else. I am happy to ring round places like the Curry Leaf like last year or any other suggestions you might have.
I get the sense though that there's group momentum towards Carlito's on Wednesday but I could be wrong. If anyone wants to chip in and confirm or refute my impression that Wednesday seems to be the popular call, I'd appreciate the feedback.
How about I make the booking - whatever it is - no later than tomorrow?

We're on for Wednesday. The
We're on for Wednesday. The table is booked for 7.30 and they've asked us (in a nice way) to be there on time. We all have to stump up £20 each but you can spend that on multiple burritos and one beer or multiple beers and one burrito - they don't care so long as they get their bung. The table is for 12/13. I'm guessing many of us would like to meet before-hand at a pub nearby. The Eagle has become a regular as it usually has enough space so I'll suggest that for 6pm onwards but of course happy to go somewhere else if anyone has an alternative suggestion. Looking forward to it!
