Is Olympia the only group in Washington?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hello everyone,

I have recently moved back to Washington state from New York, and have been introduced to Drupal by a good friend. She is mentoring me, and has made it clear that I should become involved in the Drupal community. (So this is my first toe-in-the-water.)

I'm surprised to find that Olympia is the only group in Washington. I'm currently residing in Renton. Not that I have anything against Olympia, its a beautiful place especially if you are lucky enough to live on the Sound. I have several friends there and one of my brothers lives in Rainier (east of Olympia).

I'm just wondering if I'm the only member not living in Olympia? Or, are others joining Olympia group because its the only established group in the area?

Hey Chris!

While we would love to meet you if you are down in the Olympia area, the Seattle group would probably be much more suited to you! They are very active and have a great organizer base!

Make sure to watch for the PNW Drupal Summit - typically in the fall. This year it will be in British Columbia, Canada and rotates each following year to Portland and Seattle.
