Dan Harris and Heron Heron Ordoñez of Nvidia are available to present our notes at the April 5th meeting on how we were able to achieve a complex Drupal 6 to 7 migration with roughly two minutes of website downtime. These concepts should apply to any D2D migration.

We'd be covering the migration from both a Drupal standpoint, and what was needed on the server side to achieve this near 100% automation. The Drupal 7 site architecture was built from scratch during the migration process using a script and features/custom modules. We'd also be discussing how to use multithreading with Drupal.

Is this something that would interest the group? Please let me know soon since Heron and I are not regular attendees, and we would be coming from San Jose.

I would be very interested! I have a complex D6 site that will have to migrate, though probably to D8, but I'm eager to learn about all pitfalls.

I'm interesting in the migration talk as well.

For the May 3rd meeting, I would like to present my "Where's the Fire?" talk, if possible. I'll be presenting it on Saturday for Stanford Camp but would like to practice one or two more times besides that before DrupalCon:

Just realized that is Spring break for my kids so I'm not sure I'll be around on the 5th. :( But, if I am, then I'd like to hear the migration talk. :)
