HI all
I knew I had a question to ask at this weeks meet-up! It must have been the engaging conversation that distracted me and I forgot to ask ;o)
Anyway, I have a request from a client - they want to be able to make changes to existing nodes on their website, but they don't want the changes to go live. Instead they want to be able to save a preview of the amended node that they can pass around to the rest of the staff for further changes/approval. Once all the changes have been done and approved by everyone, she then wants to be able to apply those changes to the live node.
Any ideas how this can be implemented?
Thanks a mil
Frank

By the sound of it I'd say that Workbench Moderations or Workflow would be a great help to achieve that.

Workbench or Workflow as the others have suggested. However, I would probably recommend Workflow as it's better maintained these days and is more flexible.
Watch out for issues with this workflow stuff if combining with multilingual and/or field collections / paragraphs. You've been warned :)

Thanks all for your suggestions. I'll have a look at them
Stella - I do remember everyone shivering at the thought of Workflow and Field Collections when either were mentioned at previous meet-ups - thankfully I haven't used Field Collections or Paragraphs on this particular project, so hopefully it will be ok.

The issue for us with Field Collections and/or Paragraphs comes mostly when revisioning is turned on.
Recently I had issues when I had paragraphs + workbench + workbench moderation + multilingual + revisions. If you're not going to that level of complication, workbench + workbench moderation should be fine (or, as Stella said, workflow instead - which is, I think, what will become the de facto solution in D8 for this type stuff).
