The Drupal Community in Australia and New Zealand has received 12 candidate nominations to fill 5 seats on a permanent DrupalSouth committee.

We're half way through the voting period for the DrupalSouth Permanent Committee and have had a great response so far. There's quite an even spread of votes for a majority of the candidates, so please make sure you add your own vote before May 31 to help your preferred committee members secure a position.

We're pleased to announce the following people have been elected to the DrupalSouth permanent committee for its inaugural term:
The results were validated independently by Donna Benjamin, Vladimir Roudakov and Campbell Tilley and anonymised voting data is available upon request to drupalsouth@gmail.com.
Thanks to everyone who stood for election and voted. Once committee meetings are scheduled anyone from the community will be welcome to dial in and put motions forward for consideration.
A more formal announcement will be made on https://drupalsouth.org in coming days and the committee members will determine when they'll be having their first official meeting.
