Hey everybody,
We've just been accepted into the O'Reilly User Group Program. This means that as a group, we can get free review copies of O'Reilly books as long as they are used to the benefit of the group.
As the contact for the program, I can request virtually any O'Reilly book for any member - I think that in the spirit of the program, any book we request should be shared with the rest of the group (by the recipient of the book) in the following ways:
-
The recipient should post a review of the book on groups.drupal.org/florida.
-
The recipient should present a review/demonstration of some aspect of the book during a meetup.
-
The recipient should loan out the book to other group members.
Did I miss anything?

Also - it is important to note that our group members are now eligible to receive a 35% discount on O'Reilly, Microsoft Press, No Starch, PC Publishing, Pragmatic Bookshelf, Rocky Nook, SitePoint, or YoungJin products purchased directly from O'Reilly. And 45% on ebooks. The discount code we should use is DSUG. Orders can be placed online at oreilly.com or by calling 800-998-9938. We are also entitled to a discount on O'Reilly conferences and tutorials.

This is awesome, Mike. Thanks
This is awesome, Mike. Thanks for arranging that. I don't know that I have a specific book in mind at the moment but this is a great opportunity.

Pretty Cool...
I am reading Using Drupal (O'Reilly) and Front End Drupal (Prentice Hall) at the moment. I would be more than happy to write up a little something about the experience when I am done.
Version Control with Git
I take that back. I'll be more than happy to do the above three items if I can get the Version Control with Git book.

Sounds Great!
I am currently reading the ebooks "Building Powerful and Robust Websites with Drupal 6" and "Learning Drupal 6 Module Development", which I purchased recently. When I finish them I would really like to review other books.
