Posted Project Modules

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

At DrupalCampLA I presented two sessions on Project Management Site, which is a Drupal site that I configured for Project Management. I created the demo site to show project managers that Drupal is a far superior program than many PM applications.

At the end of the first session I promised to list the installed modules. Here is a link to that list:

Sorry I missed your sessions

What is the module with the name "Them"?

update: Scratch that question about a demo site. I should have looked at the slogan.

Theme Setting API

themesettingsapi - which is an awesome module. Allows the user to select fixed or fluid width with one click. Plus, if you select fixed you can specify the width. Give it try because it is an easy to use module.

My theme is based on Siberia which has 12 regions. It is a fantastic theme!

Unfortunately I missed this

Unfortunately I missed this DrupalCamp, but this is a presentation I would've been very interested in. Is there an overview of what went on during this presentation or anything? I notice you list PHPProjekt as optional, I'm interested in how that works w/ Drupal.

Overview of PM Site and PHProjekt

Brenda - sorry I did not get the chance to meet another Drupalette. I have signed up to present a similar session at BADCAMP in Berkeley in November.

Until then ... here is a quick overview:

PM Site was created in response to me using it to manage my projects. I use taxonomy, views, and panels to organize information into the "dashboard" (which is a three column panel with nodes and views). I use events for scheduling and the book module for project notes (often referred to as project diary notes). Comments are used to get approvals and feedback. It was turned into a demo site because I found a client who had a need for a better tool and didn't want to waste time with MS Project.

PHProjekt is not integrated with Drupal - I just supplement my PM Site with it for a few functions.

I do however use Help Center Live (open source) for Live Help. Code is generated from your Help Center Live installation and is cut and pasted into a node. Take a look at the SUPPORT area at http://projectmanagersite.com/techsupport/ to see the Live Chat in action. When I log into my installation of Help Center Live the icon in my drupal site changes to indicate I am available.

Thanks for the questions Brenda.

Unfortunately I won't be

Unfortunately I won't be making it to BADCamp either (I so wish I was, though!). I'll definitely show up in a couple more months, though. :)

Thanks for the overview, Laura. I'm going to be doing at least one and possibly two projects this year that will be tackling project management, so it's definitely interesting to see what other people are doing.

Your demo site is cool and has a lot of what I'd want to be doing. A couple other modules I've been looking at which I think could improve upon it, the TodoList module http://drupal.org/project/todolist and I recall seeing a sort of time tracker module, but can't seem to find it now. Thanks for sharing!

:-)

Nice work :)
By the way the link http://projectmanagersite.com/installedmodules doesn't work any more, it shows a 404 error.
