I'd like to meet up,
I'd like to meet up, especially with fellow higher ed people in the Bay Area. I'll be coming to the Berkeley Group next week to talk about Drupal stuff at SF State. One thing you have to consider is having enough space, the Bay-area meetups alone usually overflow the space at Parisoma.

Please do, as we have also gotten together with 4 universities already (Berkeley, CSUMB, SFSU, Stanford) and want to get more going to build up this group. I just spearheaded this effort starting at DrupalCon so we are in the implementation/planning stage, which means now is a great time to meet up and discuss everyone's needs. Cheers.

I think you may have met up with Frank Farm at drupalcon, he had tweeted some things about a new edu drupal group.
I'm a total drupal noob (though an experienced front end engineer or whatever we call it these days) so I was going to a lot of the more specific tracks. :)

I have now added http://groups.drupal.org/california-highered which has is a supplemental group focused on the goal of promoting Drupal adoption across California public Universities. I encourage everyone to join the first, and for all people who work at a public University in California to join the latter group for focusing on our particular needs and goal of promotion/adoption.

I tried to reply to this thread earlier, but apparently my connection at DrupalCon SF at the time was triggering a spam filter and I couldn't post to any drupal.org related site. :) That took the wind out of my sails somewhat. (Did that happen to anyone else?)
I was willing to meet up at DrupalCon SF, but ended up making other plans. Let's get a Tri-Valley meet up going in May. I'm in Pleasanton.
