Hi All,
I am rather new to Drupal and have managed to build 2 websites using it. I achieved this by playing around with Drupal itself.
However I do admit that my knowledge is rather basic and in my quest to build more powerful and functional websites I would like to know if there is some sort of training or a Drupal 'Mentor' out there where one could ask questions, get guidance and training.
Thanks
Rob

RTFM - Read The Fine Manuals & Play Some
There is a wealth of information at http://www.drupal.org
If you want answers to questions just post your question on one of Drupal's forums I'm sure someone will be able to give you an answer. I myself have found lots of help on their forums.
And remember the best training you can get is to play around with Drupal, load new modules and themes. If you are comfortable coding in PHP learn the Drupals API's. Play around till you break things and try figure out what you did to cause that. The worst that can happen is you having to reinstall Drupal.
Will play and hopefully not break too much
Thanks for all the feedback, will definitely contact you if I need help. As well as use the forums and handbook.
Also ordered 'Pro Drupal Development' so I will need to learn PHP.
Want to get cracking so I can start contributing.
Thanks again.
Need developer to hold my hand
Hello there Everyone!
I've been at Drupal for about a month now and have experience in PHP, but getting pretty stuck now and then and looking for someone that I can pay by hour just to get me over the big hurdles.
I'm transferring my site http://www.filmmaker.co.za (9000+ subscribers) to a Drupal site at http://www.filmmaker.co.za/planet and would really like someone that has a understanding of Drupal core and good at css (nothing major).
Right now need help with multi-site installation (site is on Dreamhost.com), some css and a couple of questions to get me going from here. All users are imported, but still need to bring over the news articles as well.
Anyone perhaps up for a couple of hours a week (approx 3 months)? mostly support via email.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Lilian
