2007-11-03 01:00 - 17:30 US/Mountain

Drupallers in the greater Denver area, we are delighted to announce a DrupalCamp this Saturday, November 3rd, from 9am to 4:30pm (with more informal ad hoc festivities after, if required or desired).

What will happen? We're not totally sure. There's great interest here to dive into a Drupal 6 bug-hunt, joining chx, webchick, desbeers, dvessel, davidstrauss and others in #drupal, but I'm sure other discussions, hacking and code swarms will take place. (Count me in on any discussion of theming, documentation, architecture or agile development!) I should also mention that we will benefit from the illustrious and knowledgeable presence of Andy Kirkham (AjK), who will be visiting us from Scotland!

Thanks to the tenacity and hard work of Paul Coughlin, we have space at DeVry University. More details to come, but we do have an address:

1870 W 122nd Ave
Denver, CO 80234

[Update: The DrupalCamp is taking place in the main building in room 300. We will have some continental breakfast kinds of munchies to get us going. If you have an ethernet cable, you may want to bring it along. We will have wifi, but you know how that can be. We all are looking forward to it!]

We'll be sure to have plenty of signs up at the site.

Please RSVP below and let us know you're coming!

Sounds good

Sounds like fun - i'll try to make it. I just totaled my car last night(freakin' Elk), so transportation could be an issue. If anyone is coming from around 17th and Colorado and wants to give me a ride, that'd be awesome. If not, I'll see what I can do via combination of bike + bus.

Thanks,
-Brad

There are a number of bus-riders here

Maybe they can share some insight on a good line to catch. Hope you are alright! An Elk is a huge beast!

I'll second that

I agree, it was the first one i've ever seen, I don't care to see another. I'm completely fine though, it takes more than a 800 pound antler crowned beast with a penchant for human blood to hurt me. Actually, on second thought, perhaps it doesn't.

bad timing

Its too bad that this falls on my birthday :( cause I wanted to come but I'll have to be celebrating instead. Maybe next time ...

Sorry to hear it. The late

laura s's picture

Sorry to hear it. The late notice was unfortunate, but it sounds like that wouldn't help in this case anyway. ;)

On the other hand, can you think of a better birthday present than a Drupal 6 with no more critical bugs? :D

it's my birthday too, but ...

... i'm still considering coming; i need a Drupal jumpstart; however Westminster is not Denver, so that makes it a little less likely i'll make it

in any case, thanks very much to those who've put this Drupalcamp together

Would love to be there but

Would love to be there but I'm already scheduled to teach a video class on Saturday... maybe I can convince the class to go there instead. ;) Happy bug hunting / Halloween.

Denver-Boulder Express

I can't make this Saturday, but take the bus regularly. You'll want to get downtown to the Market St. Station. From there, take a BX or a B to the end station. PingVision is 3.5 blocks due north of the main Boulder bus station, just across the Pearl St. mall. Both the BX and the B make all stops within Denver and Boulder, but the BX skips all the suburban stops in between.

At DeVry, not at pingVision

The map above points to the actual location in Westminster/Denver.

I'm new to drupal I've been working on my first site and love what I'm doing. I'd love to come and get a feel for drupal 6.

Late but I want to come

skessler's picture

I will be late as I have a gig in the morning that I am not sure how late it will run but I want to come...please email me if its a problem to come late. I may not be a good programmer but I find all the bugs :-P

Peace,
Steve

We have coffee, bagels, schmears, muffins, oj, and did I mention coffee? So far there are 10 of us here (which itself isn't bad given 5 days' notice), and just getting started. If you're still thinking of coming, drop on by.
