Carpooling to Ballyvaughan

Hello,

been thinking about how some people are hoping to get to Ballyvaughan this Friday, Saturday or Sunday. If anyone is driving with space in their car for a passanger or two, it would be great if they posted where they are coming from, where they think they'll pass through and at what time they're planning to depart for Ballyvaughan.

There's a few people coming from Galway, that might have to resort to the bus to Ballyvaughan, meaning they'll possibly miss the morning sessions. One idea is if there are a good few coming from Dublin, there could be a rendezvous in either Athenry, Oranmore or Kilcolgan. Similarly, it might be possible to arrange to meet up to share lifts in either Limerick or Ennis?

If at all possible we're recommending people make it down for the Friday night, so we can get going Saturday morning. If you do get in on Friday night, we're thinking of having a pizza in L'Archo's and a drink after in O'Loughlinn's.

Looking forward to see you there and huge thanks to anyone that can make space for a fellow Drupaller in their car, van, bus or bicycle :-)

Try to contact Alan, here (http://groups.drupal.org/node/66838) he mentioned that he has one seat available in his van :)

Thanks Wassim

It was yourself, Lin and your colleagues in DERI whom I had in mind, but also wanted to widen it out to people traveling from other directions.

In the absence of ideas for other tokens of appreciation, I'll buy a pint for the next person who volunteers a seat for anyone whether they're traveling from Doolin or Donegal :-)

Looking forward to find out who that kind soul will be...

Hello, I don't want to intrude or be spamming you, I just wanted to let you know that we have a free carpooling website at www.tripmi.ie if that's of any help to you or your colleagues. I hope it's okay to let you know that. All the best, Liz

We are taking the bus

Still - if anyone has any space in their car and coming from whatever direction, please post here as I'm sure there will be people looking for lifts. Thanks.

Traveling from NUI Maynooth

jim.phelan's picture

I've a meeting in NUI Maynooth Friday morning. I will be leaving for Ballyvaughan after lunch (around 2pm). I already have one passenger, Edward, but there is room for two more (or three if they are small).

However there is a catch - I will not be coming back that way on Sunday so people will have to make their own way back.

Thanks!

Thanks Jim! See you tomorrow.

Travelling from Cork

I'm hoping to drive up from Cork tomorrow if anyone wants a lift. Unfortunately I'm not sure what time yet though. I'd love to head up at about 3.00/4.00 but will just depend on how productive I am in the morning so could end up being a few hours later! Let me know if anyone wants to jump in anyway.

Andrew.

USB Dongle?

Does anyone have a USB dongle Friday evening that I could borrow? I was meant to attend a meeting, and the hotel I'm staying in doesn't have wireless.

:(

3G dongle?

Hi Heather,

mobile reception can be a bit hit and miss in the Burren, so I'm not sure how fast the connection might be if you did get one. When we get over, we'll see what wi-fi options might be available.

See you later,

Conor

A friend is traveling down from Derry via Sligo today and has a seat spare.
Thanks also to Jim and Andrew for offering lifts as well.

See ye all later :-)
