In an effort to improve everyone's group experience Julia and I are looking for feedback from you all on what you'd like to get out of TriDUG over the next year.
Here's a list of some of the things we're looking for:
- Areas of Drupal you are currently having trouble with
- Ideas for presentations you would like to see
- Ideas for presentations you would like to give
- Other activities or group formats you think would be rewarding.
Some ideas that have been floated recently include:
- Bringing back hack night
- Having "tech support" nights where experienced members team up with folks who are having trouble with an issue.
- Donating time to a community development initiative
- TriDUG code sprints
- Social outings
Without feedback from the rest of the group the organizers are basically operating on guesswork. This is an opportunity to help us shape TriDUG over the coming months so please post!

Panels vs. Blocks
There was some discussion of Panels at the last meeting. I would like to hear someone with experience talk about the benefits/issues of Panels vs. the traditional Blocks. Use cases where one method might be better? How does Panels work with some of the new layout methods like Skinr?
Thanks
Drupal 7 and Drush
With Drupal 7 at Alpha 4 and nearing Beta, maybe we can discuss some of the key new features and changes coming in Drupal 7?
We could also talk about site management using Drush.
Another possible topic could be coverage of some of the leading base themes (e.g., Zen, Fusion, and Genesis).
