I'm trying to set up an online version of our local community TV.
Since all the files are images, I set up a views slideshow. In order to automatically import those images, my colleague set up a script that automatically updates the content of a specific folder through ftp. Thus, the content of the distant folder is deleted and the content of our local folder is uploaded. I then use Image Import to create nodes that can be used for the said slideshow.
The thing is I don't wanna do this manually. I'm trying to find a way for Image Import (or any other module that publishes images as nodes) to automatically delete (or unpublish) the images that aren't in the folder it fetches from and to automatically import the ones that aren't published yet.
I looked a bit at Brilliant Gallery, because it seems to be able to do this kind of work but I'm unsure yet if it could do the same kind of job I've achieved to get views slideshow to do
I hope it's clear because I am myself a bit confused about all this.
Any help/advice appreciated.
