I am from Sarasota and the other guy that is signed up works with me. I am not currently doing drupal "professionally" just using it for my personal sites - none fancy or super custom

Wow we are growing fast!!! I hope we can sustain this growth ... If we get five we should have a virtual party... I will buy the "free beer" .... and if we get enough to have a physical meeting (which we could!!) I will buy the first round.
I work in Lakewood Ranch which is the at border between Manatee and Sarasota counties right on I-75
I just heard of Drupal for the first time about 3.5 months ago and have only been working with it for about 6 weeks now. I've created 4 sites so far:
www.technospider.com/cms - This is my site for testing things out, it's quite slow since both the apache and the MySQL server are on the same 400MHz G4 Mac, I really need to put it's DB on my faster machine but that's a project for later.
www.bloggfather.com/cms - I did this for my ex-employer. They needed an easy to update business blog.
ma.technospider.com - Still in development, hence the hidden subdomain.
www.floridapets.org - Really hope to make some money with this project. If you know any petstores in your area of Florida point them at the place. Feel free to join up yourselves as well. Send relevant links to animal/pet related news from your area's of Florida.
Anyway, I really like this CMS!
Oh, and if you know of any jobs available for a graphic designer or Mac technician let me know. I really need a job.
I didn't know that there was this Florida Drupal group. I started one for Miami here, but haven't heard from anyone yet: http://groups.drupal.org/miami-florida
As a UF alum, I would, of course, prefer DrupalGators :)
I don't have a Drupal site, but am trying to build a social networking community that targets a niche market - and Drupal looks like it might be the right tool for the job.
I am from Tampa and work in the IT field, but am not a programmer.

I am from Tampa as well, working for a land planning & development firm. I am trying to create an easy ftp site that will give each client access to upload and download without seeing anyone else's files. The best module I have found so far is IMCE. Any other suggestions? Has anyone else attempted this?

I now have a bunch of sites up and running (for my own amusement) Drupal is a great web presence builder. If you can think of what you want drupal can get you pretty close
Discovered drupal about a year ago, and I am just now getting into groups. Drupal is quickly letting me realize a couple of plans for sites that I had in mind for a while. I am in Tampa, FL and would be happy to meet if there is something going on within a couple of hundreds of miles radius.
All,
I'm in downtown Orlando. There's a bunch of groups around here, but there's not one for Drupal specifically. How many of you would be willing to have events in the Orlando area?
Florida Drug Rehab. Our Florida treatment center has a very well established you back towards health and happiness, and you deserve recovery at a rehab.
Hi,
I'm in Mount Dora, a few miles northwest of Orlando. I've been using Drupal for a couple of years as one of the ways I build websites for clients. I haven't been involved in groups though until now but I can see it's a great resource.
Jack, as UF alum, I'm partial to DrupalGators too! Chomp, Chomp!

Okay, I'm from St. Pete, but it's so close to Tampa that I decided to add me to the Tampa Group. I've been using Drupal for about 2 years now and still love it. Now that I've gotten past the frantics of figuring out Drupal's complexitites, I decided its time to get into Groups!
