Ghent in Belgium.

I think it's great.

Drupal increasingly has what people want in web-based tools, and it has a unique and great community. It makes sense that people would want to invest money in a company that is based on the technology and community. Unfortunately, we are not yet in a socio-cultural state that allows open communities to deal with supporting certain types of activities financially. That day is probably coming, but we aren't there yet as a planet. So, this type of evolution is good for the growth of Drupal. I think they have tried to be careful in crafting a business plan and model, selecting investors, and assuring a sustainable community commons.

I see exciting possibilities for Drupal coming down the "pipe". Looking forward to what is coming next.

Now that's news to me. Very interesting. Does that means Dries is moving to Massachusetts?

The question of wether it's

The question of wether it's good they received such a huge sum of money depends on what they do with it. To me it's fairly unclear how they will invest the money and how they expect to get a return from it.
