Following the June 2010 appointment of Susan Rust as Achieve Internet's VP of Client Services, the company is pleased to announce the hiring of well-known, local industry figure Karina R. Lion, as Director of Business Development. Over two decades ago, Lion hinted at her abilities to find winning firms when she chose Mike Chipman as one of her first clients. His company, ChipSoft Inc., would eventually become Intuit Inc.
Since founding Liontel Global Partners in 1995, Lion has worked with several of San Diego’s leading high-tech companies. Some of her more recent clients include AIRSIS, Inc., which won the CONNECT Most Innovative Product Award in ’07; MIR3, Inc., which is listed one of Deloitte’s Fastest Growing Companies in North America; and Skinit, Inc. ranked in ’09 as one of San Diego’s fastest growing companies by the San Diego Business Journal.
Lion has always taken an active role in the San Diego high tech community. She joined the San Diego Software and Internet Council (SDSIC) as a founding member in 1991 and shortly thereafter, joined Compton’s New Media to license the world's first CD-ROM encyclopedia.
The move to Achieve Internet is just the latest impressive career benchmark for Lion. Lion helped quarterback leading entertainment software titles such as John Madden Football, when she was VP of Sales and Marketing at Spirit of Discovery and Park Place Productions. Through it all, Lion has remained firmly committed to giving back to the community working with the well-known non-profit CONNECT Springboard Mentoring Program and helping to guide the efforts of Walden Family Services, an organization dedicated to assisting foster children worldwide, as a Board member. In addition to earning a BBA from the George Washington University School of Business, Lion did graduate work at the American College in Paris where she honed her French and German language speaking skills.
