This may be the first time I

This may be the first time I can actually come along.

Not sure of the general audience that attends (newbies/developers) but possibly a look at some of the new features in Drupal 7 and the API changes that have been made.

A Drupal 7 discussion?

stevepurkiss's picture

Thanks for the reply - perhaps a discussion on Drupal 7? Rather than presenting as I don't know a huge amount about Drupal 7, I guess we could discuss, play around with it a bit etc.

Let's see who/what else replies...

Unfortunately I won't be able

Can't make it

Hi,

I'd love along to come but I've been roped (ha ha) into setting up a campsite for my daughter's school; I'm not even going but I volunteered!

I've been looking at Drupal 7 by exporting from drupal gardens. It's good but had a few problems with the public files folder -probably more a hosting issue but there was mention of a bug.

I'd like to see a list of core modules which are recommended and work for Drupal 7. I hadn't managed to get a decent upload module in wysiwyg get yet but that's probably me being occupied with other stuff and general set-up. If I can get the wysiwyg editor working with image/file uploads then I think I've got something worth setting up for a site i.e. a basic products/business site.

Have you seen the #D7CX modules? They've pledged they'll be ready when 7 is released:

I'm not sure of the when and where for this, but I would be interested in turning up.
I'm not really a developer - I've just fiddled about until I came up with some sort of site to use at work and am now in the process of bolting civicrm to it.

Hiya - we run our meetings every third Tuesday of the month at http://theskiff.org coworking space in Brighton. Turnout varies - last month we had quite a few people, probably not many this month as it's fairly late in the day for sorting it out as been megabusy as per usual!

This will be the last one in the current skiff - we're moving just down the road to a much bigger space!

Well I will be coming!

I'm coming along - it's bound to be interesting whatever we cover!

Matt Parle, the head of SEO at www.WhiteHatMedia.com has just told me he would be willing to give a talk about Drupal and search engine optimisation sometime in the future.

Would this be something that would interest people?

Cool!

stevepurkiss's picture

Excellent, that would be an interesting talk!

I think let's keep it low-key for tomorrow - I've been juggling three projects, a number of prospects, and growing my team so I'm a little knackered at the moment. Oh, and i just booked a ticket for Drupalcon Copenhagen for next month so excited to boot.

I'm thinking something along the lines of a general discussion and play about with Drupal 7 and http://drupalgardens.com, so maybe entitling tomorrow "Drupal 7: Drupal for the masses?". No presentation as such, just a focused discussion on the features and futures of our beloved CMS ;)

Next month it's the week before I am off to Drupalcon - let me know if Matt wants to do his talk then as I will start promoting it earlier so we get a good turnout of members and non-members.

Sounds good to me

See you there, though may be a little late.
