Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Want to learn SimpleTest? Some folks from the Boston group got together at JP Licks in Jamaica Plain last Wednesday to try and figure it out. We got through some helpful demo exercises and are getting back together to do it again this Wednesday at 6:30pm. Please join us if you're interested.

We'll be meeting here at 6:30 Wednesday:

Last Wednesday, we spent the evening doing this tutorial:

The tutorial is not a prerequisite to joining us Wednesday. I just included the link so people will know what they missed.

Any chance of moving

Any chance of moving this to a place more convenient to the T?

JP Licks isn't far from the T

We timed the walk last week from JP Licks to the Green Street T. It's a 7 minute stroll straight down Green Street. I bet it's 5 minutes if you walk fast. We have frequently done Drupal Cafes at JP Licks because it's got good wifi, lots of seating, and it's open late (Ula closes at 7 or 7:30). I can't think of anywhere else in JP that can accomodate us.

Let's leave this week's meeting at JP Licks, just so we don't confuse anyone on such short notice. But in the future, if anyone has a space in mind that is more convenient, I'm all for it.

okay

Of course that's after an hour in the train for me...

How late do you want the place to be open?

In JP the only other cafe

In JP the only other cafe that can hold us is Ula. But they close at 7 or 7:30pm.

Thanks, Peter. And that's right on my way home on the D line.

Is there any chance that this

danchadwick's picture

Is there any chance that this new-found group expertise could be condensed into a presentation at the next monthly meeting? I am quite interested in this topic, but have a bunch of more urgent things that I need to learn first. I'm not suggesting a step-by-step tutorial, but a nice overview similar to what Dani did with Drush at this past meeting (for which, BTW, I was/am grateful). Maybe even a little more detailed would be great for me, personally.

SimpleTest Tonight, 6:30 at JP Licks

Tonight's Drupal Cafe is for module developers who want to learn SimpleTest. We'll start here, http://drupal.org/node/395012, then work through some of the Examples for Developers, http://drupal.org/project/examples.

We're meeting tonight at 6:30 at JP Licks in Jamaica Plain:

Thank you Peter and Brookline Access for your invitation. We'll definitely take you up on your offer to be a Drupal Cafe host in the future.

Sorry Brian it looks like

Sorry Bryan it looks like again I won't be able to make it, contrary to what I said yesterday. I agree, a presentation at the next meetup would be great. For the next month or so Wed nights don't work for me.

Mmm... ice cream... I'll be
