Hey folks,
I just wanted to remind everyone that the Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit is coming up in just a few short months. It will be held in Vancouver, BC (an absolutely gorgeous town for those of you who have not yet had the privilege) October 2-3.
I know that Andy is planning on going, and I think I'll be up there as well.
Tickets are $50 which covers both days of great sessions. These conferences are not only great places to learn more about Drupal, but they really help you get to know the Drupal Community. If you think you may be making a career out of Drupal, or just using it as an important part of your web-related work, I highly recommend that you try to attend.
You can find out more at http://pnwdrupalsummit.org.

Looks great
Thanks for mentioning this. It looks very interesting, and is dirt cheap at $50.
I was interested in what sessions are going to be given. This is clearly a "user driven" conference (often the best kind). I found this:
What Format Should the Presentation Take?
Presentations should be 50 minutes in length. There will be special “training workshop” held prior to the Summit which will cover introductory sessions in Drupal. As such, we are looking for sessions that are “beyond introductory”. There will be four session tracks:
It looks like there should be something for everyone.

User Driven
Yes, most of these Drupal events seem to be at least somewhat user-driven. I've been pleased.

Schedule has been posted
Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit has selected the sessions and posted the schedule here:

I do not think they are full, you can still register to attend. This looks to be a great event for Drupal noobies to experts, there will be some Drupal luminaries there, several different tracks, spontaneous user-organized Birds-of-a-feather (Bof) sessions, and more. I'm really looking forward to it, and I hope more people from this group will come!
I'll be doing a panel discussion on Organizing effective (and fun) local user groups: http://pnwdrupalsummit.org/2010/sessions/organizing-effective-and-fun-lo..., if you're coming and want to participate let me know!
Just signed up
Was prompted by the announcement of there being only 30 (now 29) seats left - should be GREAT!
Awesome!
Will be great to be there with you.
