updating memcache module to version 6?

hi,

i just submitted a simple patch to try to get the ball rolling on memcache support for drupal 6.

has anyone else started on this? is anyone interested on collaborating on updating the memcache module for drupal 6?

Hi, I'll be updating memcache support for Drupal 6 this week, next week at the latest. Until then, please play around with my new beta module called Cache Router - http://groups.drupal.org/node/10324

It has memcache support and works with Drupal 6. It also supports file, db, apc, and xcache for caching and the ability to mix and match your cache tables.
