After the suicide of a gay teenager, a project was started where gay people talk about how life gets better after high school by telling their stories. Although I am not a member of this group (however, after CalebG's post, I think I deserve a "honorary lesbian" title :D ) as a former bullying victim I recognize the importance of this. Please post to http://www.youtube.com/itgetsbetterproject .

It doesn't always get better
For the GLB's it might get better, but not for the T's. Worse yet, in most US states, there are absolutely no protections, so bullying in many forms (housing, employment, etc.) continues unabated and unpunishable - and is not even considered newsworthy. Please encourage your congresspersons to pass ENDA (Employment Non Discrimination Act).
Chx, if you want to be an honorary transgender, you have to wear a skirt once in a while (or at least a kilt). Looks like a wig might help too. ;-)

All I have to do is wear a skirt? Sheesh, that's an offer too attractive to turn down. But only if Sam Boyer is with me.
Alright!
Next time you're in Boston, I want to see it.

openess can help the younger ones who haven't built up immunity to the hateful bullies who may be around them.
And yes, it DOES get better with some age ...
