A few ideas
There is quite a lot of information about D7 available and many of us have heard Dries talk about the history of Drupal and the community. This is a very popular theme and subject for Dries but I'd wanted to make a few suggestions:

Yep, Drupal 8 would be great to hear about, as would be an update to his DrupalCon Paris keynote where he discussed Drupal as a product, and the innovation cycle.

drupal seems to change in many ways with each version. Yet, the upgrades are not always simple, especially with custom modules. Even Drupal 8 is being planned with some changes. At what point is forward compatibility required and when is it not?
