As you know, Dries the founder of Drupal will be present at the Toronto Drupal Camp on 15 and 16 October.

What do you want Dries to talk about? He is asking for suggestions on Twitter.

There is quite a lot of information about D7 available and many of us have heard Dries talk about the history of Drupal and the community. This is a very popular theme and subject for Dries but I'd wanted to make a few suggestions:

  • What are the top 10 key successes of the past year
  • Where is Drupal being used that surprises him
  • Where does Dries want to see Drupal being used more
  • What's next, where is Drupal going
  • What are the goals for Drupal 8
  • The D7 development Beta has just been released and everyone involved deserve a lot of accolades. As the leadership looks back what are some of the key successes and lessons learned

Frankly, whatever Dries talks about will be very much appreciated.

Yep, Drupal 8 would be great to hear about, as would be an update to his DrupalCon Paris keynote where he discussed Drupal as a product, and the innovation cycle.

drupal seems to change in many ways with each version. Yet, the upgrades are not always simple, especially with custom modules. Even Drupal 8 is being planned with some changes. At what point is forward compatibility required and when is it not?
