We are just about done with the infrastructure. We need to have our first check-in meeting and:
-- Finalize the name of the program
-- Sign off on work done to date
-- Determine next steps
The next steps are largely marketing related.

You had mentioned IRC. That might be less disruptive for me than a phone call and would likely help our friends outside the US attend.
IRC vs. phone
IRC may be the best way. It requires that I leave my office, since IRC is banned according to corporate policy.
If people prefer IRC, I think we can still use #drupalcon.

The it there might refer to "IRC" or "phone" -- which do you mean?
IMO, IRC is the Drupal default, so we will go that route if people prefer.

I am of the opinion that, for Drupal at least, IRC is the more democratic and open method for this type of meeting.
So we'll schedule for IRC, in #drupalcon (which is still active) for 3:00 ET Friday.
