Just one week from tomorrow is the 5th annual DrupalCamp Dallas, and it's going to be 5 MILLION times better than any Drupal event ever.  Especially my session on the Hyperbole module.  But just in case you are still on the fence, here are 13 reasons why you need to gently climb down off that fence without getting any splinters and get your ticket right now:

TL;DR: A proposal for changes to the scope of the ‘git vetted user’ permission on Drupal.org, and the related project packaging and release capabilities associated with it; changes which would affect not only Drupal’s “new project application” process, but all contrib module authors.

Google summer of code 2013 is almost here. We are currently still waiting for Google to announce this year's organizations, but it is wise to start collecting project proposals now.

Ryan Szrama will be presenting this year's keynote session! If you have done anything remotely related to e-commerce and Drupal, you have used Ryan's code. Ryan is the VP of Community Development at Commerce Guys, Drupal Commerce Project Lead, and a contributing author to "The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7" book.
