BADCamp Planning Meeting #2 - Monday at 5pm

Everyone,

There are 144 days left until the social event of the season called BADCamp. We have 0 people signed up for the event and $12,000 in sponsorship money raised. It will be all happening, of course, but plenty of work to do. The high level goals are to chat website things and help build the larger team of volunteers.

NOTE - This meeting is before the SFDUG social event at the C3 office. We will only be meeting for one hour, so come prepared to BADCamp.

TVDUG looking for presenter for June

The Tri-Valley Drupal Users Group is in need of a June presenter! We recently changed our format to shorter 20-30 minute presentations and more time for discussion to help new users. How to hide "No front page content has been created yet" in the Drupal Frontpage

Nobody wants an empty frontpage. Drupal assumes you create content, once you do so the message disappears automatically. By default Drupal displays all nodes that receive the "promote to frontpage" setting. This leaves you with a blog-style list of teasers of all published nodes. Often this is not the desired outcome for a front page. This wiki suggests several workarounds to that default behavior, essentially removing the "No front page content has been created yet" message:
