We're approaching the 3rd Tuesday of the month again, which means it's Drupal Drinks time in Dundee.
Next meetup will be on Tuesday 18th February, to discuss lots of the latest Drupal news and discover what to expect in the upcoming Drupal 8 release.
We'll meet in the same room as last month, room 2F10 in the Dalhousie Building (http://www.dundee.ac.uk/general/campusguide/virtualtour/dalhousie/). The room is available from 6.30 and we'll kick off at 7. We'll aim to finish before 8.30pm.
The Information Architecture and Drupal Training Day is for those who have started on their Drupal journey but want to move to the next level. Assuming you have installed Drupal and understand the basic anatomy of a Drupal site, we'll look at Information Architecture concepts and how they apply in one of the most flexible and expansive CMS systems available. You'll leave with a website or database application developed and a fresh understanding of the potential and power of the core and contributed modules that make up Drupal.Read more

February's Drupal Drinks in Edinburgh will be another Drupal 8 sprint.
It will be held at the St. Vincent pub, pretty much opposite Heehaw. Please go straight there, not to Heehaw first!
There will be plenty of people there who aren't Drupal 8 experts (or even necessarily hardcore programmers) - for example you can help test that a patch fixes an issue.
Overall principles as per https://groups.drupal.org/node/314913.
It's almost the 3rd Tuesday of the month, which means it's Drupal Drinks time in Dundee.
Next meetup will be on Tuesday 21st January, to discuss lots of the latest Drupal news, learn how to run Drupal on NGINX and learn how to manage virtual development environments with Vagrant.
Our regular room had already been booked by someone else, so we'll meet in room 2F10 in the Dalhousie Building (http://www.dundee.ac.uk/general/campusguide/virtualtour/dalhousie/). The room is available from 6.30 and we'll kick off at 7. We'll aim to finish before 8.30pm.
As part of Scotland's contribution to the Global Sprint Weekend, there will be a sprint in central Glasgow on Saturday, 25 January. Whether you are a hardcore code junky or code-adverse sitebuilder, this is another opportunity to say, 'I contributed to Drupal 8'.
You most certainly do not have to be a Drupal 8 whizz to attend - for example you can help test that a patch fixes an issue, an equally vital part of the contribution process.Read more

It's time to kick off Drupal Drinks for 2014...
We'll be holding them in Edinburgh on a regular, predictable schedule: the second Thursday of each month. To let people get back into work mode, we will make an exception just for this month, so hope to see you all on the 16th!
Venue as usual: Heehaw office at first, then the Standard from 19:30. Please sign up so I know you're coming.
