Last Call to Get Food at BU Drupal Camp

If you are interested in attending BU Drupal BootCamp on this Friday, May 2nd, 2008 and would like lunch to be provided (free), we need you to sign up by 4:00 pm CST at http://slane.bradley.edu/drupalbootcamp/. If you have particular dietary needs, please contact Steven Merrill or myself so that we can make sure there is something for you to eat.

This call is just for people who would like lunch provided. After this afternoon you can still sign up and attend the event -- we just can't guarantee there will be any food for you -- but campustown is literally just across the street and has a number of different (cheap) food options.

Thanks!

Brian

Drupal Camp Wisconsin

There was quite the demand for Drupal at both BarCampMilwaukee and BarCampMadison. A couple of us are getting together to start planning a Drupal Camp. I've set up a drupal wiki (from an installation profile, total install time 15 minutes -- due to a slow shared host database server) at http://drupalcamp.blakehall.org

We're still in the VERY early stages of planning so we don't have details (like a date) yet.

If you're interested in helping plan feel free to post links, session ideas, etc...

Potential Locations for Drupal Camp Seattle

Some ideas on space:
Seattle Public Library: ballard branch or central branch (www.spl.org)

The Community Living Room ( The Community Living Room is located at Phinney Ave North, in Fremont. It is the former Redhook Brewery, at the SE corner of 35th & Phinney, between 36th and the canal. It's the first door in the red brick building on Phinney just south of 35th under the sign, "Brewery Tours & Offices". There is a pay lot across the street if you can't find free street parking.)

Theming Drupal Workshop - Washington, DC - Aug 9th and 10th

Start:
2006-08-09 00:00 - 2006-08-10 17:00 America/New_York

Lullabot will be running a two workshop sessions in Washington, DC. The second is Theming Drupal and discusses how to get control over your themes. Drupal’s architecture allows extensive control over how pages are presented, yet this is still a bit of a “dark art” to many Drupal professionals. Bring in your designs and we’ll shed some light.

Find more information about this workshop here. Information about other Lullabot workshops is here.

Should there be subgroups for each camp?

Do folks think that each camp should have subgroups? or should all discussion for all camps take place in this one group?

Furthermore, should there be any kind of "qualifications" for an event being considered a camp?
when does camp end and conference begin? Is there a difference between a camp and a boot camp? Free community based trainings and workshops vs paid professional development opportunities?

I'm looking to provoke a little discussion here.
