Hola, tengo un tipo de contenido 'Cronicas de partidos' que basicamente son reviews de partidos de futbol.
Tengo campos donde la información se repite cada vez q creo un contenido nuevo de este tipo.

Lo que necesito hacer es crear algunos campos (hoy solo son textos) del estilo de combobox donde el usuario seleccione por ejemplo el PAIS donde se jugo el partido, pero se que puedan seleccionar de un combobox o lista y si no existe en esta lista, que se pueda agregar y quede guardado en la base de datos.

I'm trying to think around how to create an interactive list of local bands and local venues. I want to include Band pages that would include Name, member list, types of music, bio, over or under 21, e-mail contact, link to the bands site, and the ability to embed a YouTube video. I want it to be editable by the owner and search able by the general public. I also would like the ability to rate the band or write a review. Secondary I would like to have a similar list of venues with address, max occupancy, e-mail, phone, contact person,and a google map.

Jag står inför ett intressant uppdrag - jag ska se till så att en massiv (hyggligt i alla fall) databas, full med information och referenser kommer in i en installation av Drupal 6. Databasen som ska importeras tillhör inget annat CMS, t ex Wordpress, utan är en relationsdatabas upplagd i MySql enbart.

Jag har redan kollat på Node-Import (http://drupal.org/project/node_import) men den finns dels inte som färdig modul till Drupal 6, men även så tror jag inte att den kommer att klara av jobbet (kan ha fel).

Behöver lite hjälp med en vision som jag har för min hemsida som ska Drupaliseras med version Drupal6.

Jag skulle vilja ha tre olika block på hemsidan:

1) Visa max 5 småartiklar som har ett visst datum som överensstämmer med dagens (allt enligt min fråga http://groups.drupal.org/node/98144)
2) Visa de 10 sista inlagda småartiklarna från databasen
3) Ett block där det visas 4 stycken slumpvist utvalda småartiklar kopplat till en slumpvist utvald tagg.

I dagsläget har jag en sida som varje dag visar tre olika småtexter, året om. Med andra ligger det 3x365 småtexter i en Accessdatabas ryyys som spottar där ASP-koden kollar vilken dag det är och sedan visar de tre texter som ligger inlagda med det datumet.

Om jag hade velat göra något liknande i Drupal, hur hade jag behövt göra då?

I've a huge (4Go) database with 157 302 nodes and more than 1.5 million comments when the views module try to execute the query below it takes 22s to MySQL to return the result, do you have any MySQL or Drupal trick to help me reduce this time? (without using drupal cache)

Switching from MySQL to Cassandra using Cassandra modules?

Hello,

Maybe one day I need Cassandra. I hope I can use only Cassandra without MySQL.

I have some question:
1. Do I need to change the codes in modules (example: Views, CCK, etc) currently used to communicate with Cassandra? Or by using the api from this module?
2. If I have a website already running, how to migrate data from MySQL? Using Hadoop?

this is probably silly question, but if I change the name of the primary db from "pantheon" to "my_site" will any of the update_pressflow/mercury scripts have problems?
i think no, but want to be sure.

Hello Team,

I have heard about database latency, when we have a seperate DB server. But a lot of people are using them nevertheless.

We can also have a single server with 16 GB or More then that RAM.

Some says dedicated server are always good some says more RAM on same server, I am confused.

Which one would be better? Please suggest.
