Schema sample please
Hello,
First please excuse me if the answer was easily reachable but I've looked at the group first 5 preview pages and did a search on schema
which yielded the same preview as default so I assumed it this was the default behavior when keywords failed to bring results.
Database Version Control with Git
I need help understanding the workflow for database version control because what I am doing now is not working.
When I am on a branch (1), and about to commit, I do a Drush @alias sql-dump, which creates a dump file in a particular directory in my repo and uses a specific name, per instructions in the aliases.drushrc.php file. Then I commit and the sql-dump is added to the commit. I see the messages and everything is working fine.

Been thinking about providing my Drupal set-up as a "distribution" (a complete prefab site that could be shared with other Occupy groups). This has raised 2 questions:
(1) Where-all does Drupal 6 store the site or root address? Is this all stored in
database tables, or does Drupal also write it elsewhere? Where-all in the db tables
(what tables) is the site's address or root address stored? (Of course, this
would have to be changed by everyone who uses the distributions, since their
db_find_replace module
Hi guys
This is a new D7 module for finding and replacing text in the database. I find that I often want to be able to do this.

Hi! My name is Justin Coffey and I'm really looking for some ideas/suggestions on how to complete a task on a project I'm working on.
The site I'm developing is acting as a "web portal" for independent sales representatives. At this time, I'm working independent from the company but with their go ahead. As a result, my goal is to not ever directly link up with their servers or databases at their corporate headquarters.
Here is a brief example of the real world workflow:

I am using MAMP and Acquia Dev Desktop Control Panel to manage and create websites locally (for clients).
We are establishing a new workflow/methodology in terms of how we launch our websites once they are completed. We would like to build everything locally, while synchronizing data on a hosting account (i.e. HostMonster.com, etc) if possible. How do we do that? (with the recommended workflow) Therefore, we can essentially launch everything on one command.
My question, that hopefully somebody can answer, what is the best way to accomplish this?

Hi,
I'm an architect working on a project to rebuild our current consumer site, possibly using Drupal, and am new to Drupal and learning as much as I can as fast as I can. We currently serve all users to our site out of a single colocation (colo), but in the near future are planning to add additional colos in other geographic locations and serve the site concurrently from them all, with users being routed to the nearest colo.
