Hi everyone,

GSoC 2014 has finally come to an end. The last three months has been awesome working with miro and berdir (my mentors). My project was to improve Monitoring module (https://drupal.org/project/monitoring) for D8 and also enhance its user and developer experience by converting its custom hook architecture to a standard config entity with plugin pattern so that sensors can be created and configured in the UI. I am writing this blog post in order to announce that D8 XmlSitemap module is almost done. There are some minor issues that should be solved (improve documentation, remove some comments, remove some unused functions). The whole functionality of the module was ported to D8 version.

My name is Andrei - Marius Dincu and I am a Romanian student who loves Drupal. I study Computer Science at Politehnica University of Bucharest and I heard about Drupal about one year ago.

During the GSoC 2014 coding period I will try to port XMLSitemap module to Drupal 8. XMLSitemap module is one of the most used Drupal modules and I think it is a requirement to make it compatible with Drupal 8.

I think this module doesn't need a lot of introduction since it is quite popular and its functionality is pretty straightforward: it provides the ability to make comparisons between entities and make the differences visually noticeable (more details here : https://groups.drupal.org/node/407793#project24).
