Would there be any interest in putting together a release party in Madison? How many people would we need to make a party? I'm willing to invest some resources in getting something going if we can reach a critical mass.

We have started planning the Drupal 8 release party in Louisville, KY. The date will be November 19th, so save the date. More details will come later, with an actual event listing.

Just wanted to get a reading on interest so we can have a rough idea of who will want to attend. Let me know!

The day is soon upon us! Drupal 8 is scheduled to be released on Nov 19, 2015, which is a major milestone not just for the Drupal world, but the PHP world, open source world, and web technologies in general.
